Alumni

The Division is proud of our many alumni, over 1000 M.P.A. graduates total, who hold a wide variety of positions throughout the nation. Of this number, there are many serving West Virginia in state, regional, county, and local government.

Graduates serve as city managers in West Virginia and other states, budget examiners at the state and federal levels, administrative assistants in diverse agencies, healthcare administrators, officials with many types of substantive responsibilities, personnel analysts, purchasing officers, teachers, and researchers.

Although placement is basically the responsibility of each student, the division provides substantial assistance to individual students. This includes individual counseling, assistance in development of the vitae, information on interviewing, collecting and disseminating information on job openings, and advising on career development.
