Getting Started

This page is intended to provide some basic information for students joining the Master of Legal Studies program.

Orientation
In Spring 2009 the MLS program held its first online orientation for new students. If you would like to view the archive of this orientation session, please click here.

MIX System
Students in the MLS program will be required to use the WVU MIX email system. MIX stands for Mountaineer Information Express, and is WVU’s web-based email system for students and faculty. Upon being admitted to graduate school, all students will be provided with a MIX email address. Login instructions are available at the MIX homepage.

eCampus
Courses in the Master of Legal Studies program are taught through WVU’s eCampus system. Students login to this system by using the MIX ID and password. To login, visit the eCampus homepage and click on “WVU Main Campus and Potomac State College.”

Student Services
As graduate students at West Virginia University, Master of Legal Studies students are entitled to all rights, privileges, and benefits of on-campus students. Visit WVU’s Current Students page for more information on these services. If you have any questions, be sure and contact the MLS Program.

Remember! Always consult with your academic advisor, Dr. Nancy Adams, regarding any curricular issues. If you have any administrative problems, contact Erin Estell to: Erin.Estell@mail.wvu.edu.
