This page is intended to provide some basic information for students joining the Master of Legal Studies program.
WVU PortalThe WVU Portal is a mobile-friendly application that gives you a single gateway to a variety of critical University services and applications. It serves as a central place to register for classes, check grades, log into eCampus and MIX email, view DegreeWorks, etc. It is accessible from anywhere the user happens to be and is available any time of the day or night.
MIX SystemStudents in the MLS program will be required to use the WVU MIX email system which is accessible via the WVU Portal. It is important to check your email regularly as it is the way the University will communicate general announcements to all students. In addition, the MLS program only uses your MIX email to share information regarding programmatic updates and announcements.
eCampusCourses in the Master of Legal Studies program are taught through WVU’s course management system, eCampus. eCampus may be accessed via the WVU Portal by selecting the eCampus icon or going directly to the eCampus homepage.
Student ServicesAs graduate students at West Virginia University, Master of Legal Studies students are entitled to all rights, privileges, and benefits of on-campus students. Visit WVU’s Current Students page for more information on these services. If you have any questions, be sure and contact the MLS Program.
