The mission of the WVU Department of Public Administration is to prepare professionals in public service to identify challenges and opportunities and to facilitate positive change in the communities of West Virginia, the region, and beyond.

MASTER OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree is a 39-credit hour academic program that prepares students for a career in public service.  It is the only internationally accredited MPA program offered in West Virginia.

MASTER OF LEGAL STUDIES

The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program is a 30-credit hour online academic program that prepares students for a career that interacts with the law and the legal system.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE

The Department offers a graduate certificate program in Community Development Policy & Practice.
