Jeri Kirby, Ph.D.

Professor Jeri Kirby earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from West Virginia University and is currently an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Chair of the Social Science Department at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia.  Dr. Kirby has a 20-year history of life and studies in incarceration, prison education, and prisoner re-entry. Dr. Kirby is a Certified Instructor, Lead Trainer, and Federal Bureau of Prison Federal Coordinator of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. Dr. Kirby is also a member of the WV Advisory Board to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, a Board member of the REACH Initiative, and a member of the Convict Criminology group.
