Samantha Godbey, PhD

Dr. Samantha Godbey is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Political Science at West Virginia University. Samantha received her PhD in Political Science in 2018, where her research focused on the passage of the 2000 Trafficking Victims Protection Act. Samantha’s research has focused on human trafficking law and how the public policy process and Congressional action shaped legislation.  

Samantha is also the Director of Debate for WVU’s nationally ranked policy debate team.  She lives in Morgantown, WV with her husband and dog Beasley.
